Some rucking advocates have the philosophy of no pain, no gain. But when it comes to rucking, we say, “No pain, ALL gain.”
No need to see how much weight you can carry. Even if you do 10% of your body weight you'll get benefits compared to just walking alone.
Make sure you get a pack that carries weight comfortably when rucking. Ones with wide, padded hip belts and a snug fit on your back are best. And forget about clanky, dangerous iron plates! Waterweights are soft, safe, and easily adjustable by simply releasing some water.

Rucking isn’t about suffering—it’s about making movement part of your life in a way that feels good and delivers real benefits. There's no need to push to the point of pain—just adding resistance to your walks builds strength, endurance, and overall fitness.
